KIRIMOKO PARK HOUSE Contemporary New-Build, Wanaka

The Kirimoko Park development has set a high bar for new residential architecture in Wanaka. This four-bedroom new-build was commissioned by a developer who wanted to raise it further — an architectural standout in a neighbourhood already defined by considered design, on the shores of Lake Wanaka.

The home is built around the indoor-outdoor connection that Wanaka living demands. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and double garaging provide the practical foundation, while underfloor heating and double glazing ensure the home performs as well in a Central Otago winter as it does in summer. The layout moves naturally between interior and exterior, the living spaces opening fully to the outdoors and the landscape beyond.

The kitchen is an exercise in restraint — minimalist cabinetry with integrated appliances and a ducted cooktop, every element concealed in service of a cleaner whole. The kind of kitchen that photographs beautifully and works even better.

Outside, NZ brick urban panels and Alucobond cladding combine to create a precast concrete aesthetic that is bold, contemporary, and entirely at home against the Wanaka skyline.
