Nestled in the desirable Grey Lynn area, our client's home, adjacent to the picturesque Grey Lynn Park, suffered significant damage from the flooding in February 2022. As a result, a major renovation was necessary.
The goal was to future-proof the property against potential flood damage by sealing off possible water access points and enhancing drainage in key areas.
We redesigned the front entrance and stairwell to lead to an open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area while maintaining a consistent ceiling height of 3 meters throughout.
The outdoor entertainment space was also revamped, incorporating built-in clear panels that provide a view into the hallway below.
The entire house underwent renovation, featuring stunning new oak parquet flooring, a shaker-style kitchen, and beautifully tiled bathrooms and ensuites.
All of the original bungalow features were preserved, restored, and celebrated in the design, ensuring the home retains its vibrant character.
